Matkivskyy calls the success of the Ruh Academy a revolution in Ukrainian children’s football

The president of Lviv’s Karpaty Volodymyr Matkivskyy congratulated the Rukh Academy on its new championship titles and called its achievements a real revolution for Ukrainian youth football, ua-football.com reports.

According to Matkivskyy, the combination of modern infrastructure, a professional coaching approach, and systematic work with young people is already yielding noticeable results.

“The results of teams in the context of infrastructure development are revolutionary in children’s and youth football,” he emphasized.

The head of Karpaty also expressed confidence that the academy’s students will have all the conditions for further professional growth in Lviv.

The successes of “Ruh” became one of the factors that pushed the clubs to closer cooperation. Earlier, it was announced that the academies of “Ruh” and “Karpaty” would merge as part of a large-scale project to develop Lviv football.

In the 2025/26 season, the U-14, U-15, and U-16 teams of “Ruh” became champions of the Pro League , confirming the status of one of the strongest football academies in Ukraine.
