In May 2025, the founder of the Ruh football club and academy, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, announced a new stage in the development of children’s and youth football. He presented ambitious plans on the Ruh TV YouTube channel: building a modern academy for a thousand children, opening a branch of a British school, launching an indoor arena and innovative hybrid fields.

Architectural uniqueness

Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy said that the construction in Vynnyky has a number of innovations. The 1160-seat stands are integrated directly into the academy building, making it architecturally unique for Ukraine. The facility provides for flexible use of the premises: skyboxes will be transformed into classrooms, and the conference hall will be used for international events.

The challenge of engineering

According to the architects, the most difficult part was the foundation work due to the high water table. The Academy will also have its own bomb shelter built to modern safety standards. A solar power plant will be placed on the roof, which will allow the facility to operate autonomously even in crisis conditions.

European-level arena and fields

“The Ruh Academy will be the first in western Ukraine to have a full-size indoor arena. All football fields will meet UEFA requirements, which will allow us to hold official tournaments, qualifying matches and even Premier League games,” said Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy.

Kozlovskyy’s control and inspiration

The founder’s office is located in the main wing of the academy overlooking the main arena, a symbol of the fact that Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy personally oversees all stages of construction. His experience of visiting European academies formed the basis of the Ruh concept.

“Ruh is the flagship of children’s football. We will give you something that you won’t get even in Europe. Welcome to our family,” Kozlovskyy emphasized, addressing the parents of future students.

Social mission

The academy provides conditions not only for training, but also for the full development of children:

Recently, the Economic News magazine ranked Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy among the top 10 investors in Western Ukraine. He was ranked second, and his partner in regional development, businessman and sports manager Oleksandr Svishchov, was ranked third.
