“The Yellow and Blacks won prestigious international competitions among the U-12 and U-13 categories. Initially, in the group stage of the championship, Ruh was stronger than Polish teams Zaglembie, Śląsk, Wisla, and Czech teams Sparta and Banik.

The Final Four took place in Ostrava, Czech Republic, this weekend, where the strongest teams of the Interliga Championship – Ruh, Gonved (Hungary), Gurnik (Poland) and Austria (Austria) – met.
“Rukhiv’s U-13 team defeated their peers from Gonveda and Austria 2-1, but lost to Gurnik by a similar score. While the U-12 yellow and blacks defeated Gonveda 4-2 and Gurnik 2-0, Lviv lost to Austria 0-1.
As a result of the six matches, the pupils of the Ruh Academy won 4 matches (goal difference 11-7). With 12 points in the overall standings, the Yellow and Blacks became triumphant in international competitions and won the Interliga championship.
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy congratulated the young champions and wished them new victories: “Once again, Rukh’s youngsters have achieved a great result in Europe and demonstrated the quality of our Academy’s work! We are proud of our young men, who demonstrate an interesting and bright game and win important victories for Ukrainian football. Good luck, guys, because you have even greater victories ahead of you!”
The victory in the Interliga championship is not the first award for Ruh’s youth, as recently two players of the Ukrainian FC Ruh were nominated for Golden Boy 2024. Ruh midfielder Yevhen Pastukh joined Bohdan Slyubyk on this list. The players were the only Ukrainians among 100 nominees for the prestigious award.
In addition, Lviv’s FC Rukh was ranked first in the ranking among the youngest teams in more than 60 leagues worldwide with a score of 52.4%. CIES Football Observatory has calculated the number of minutes played by U-21 players in 61 leagues around the world, including the top 31 leagues in Europe.

Also, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyi ‘s pupils, FC Ruh, won the UEFA Grassroots Awards as the best professional club in 2023/24. “The Yellow and Black team was recognized for its work and contribution to the development of European football.
“Without a strong mass game, the elite level of football could not exist. Today’s victory and all these awards are an important recognition and triumph of Lviv youth at the European level. This is a significant achievement for the young Ruh players, which testifies to their high skill and prospects,” summarized the founder and honorary president of FC Ruh.
