This weekend at the ‘Ruh’ Academy, the final selection and search for new talents who are ready to defend the colours of the ‘yellow-black’ team began. Boys aged 13-14 came here to fulfil their dreams.

There were over 500 eager participants who wanted to join the U-14 team, but only 300 managed to attend.

The ‘Ruh’ Academy, created by the famous Lviv businessman and philanthropist Hryhoriy Petrovych Kozlovskyy, is one of the best in Ukraine today. It operates 24/7, providing the necessary infrastructure for scouting and supporting football players, their further professional training and comprehensive development. The infrastructure “constantly evolves and improves,” noted the honorary president of FC “Ruh”.

The Academy coaches invited the boys onto the field, got to know everyone and observed the process at each of the stations, the tasks of which included: speed, technique, dribbling and playing football – essential components for any young man who dreams of becoming a professional football player.

The boys are ready to travel almost the entire country just to get here and see everything with their own eyes. Marat, who came with his family from Odesa, did exactly that. “I chose this Academy because it is developed according to all European standards, and offers great opportunities. Moreover, I’ve been following it a lot on Tik Tok, the way things are happening here so that also influenced my choice. As for the tasks and stations themselves, we started with technique, played over the cones, and then shot on goals. Later, we had speed challenges (running 15 and 30 meters), one-on-one matches and, finally, a football match. The competition here is truly felt because many boys came from all over Ukraine, but I believe in my abilities, besides, the support of my relatives helps me a lot in such crucial moments.”

Not only boys but also their parents dream of a career for their children as football players in the top European championships. Roman, the father of one of today’s participants, supported his son’s idea and gladly came with him from Khmelnytskyi because he knows how important his parental support and guidance are in such crucial moments: “We brought our son Maksymko here today. We have already been to the Ruh Cup, and we liked everything – the infrastructure, the coaches’ approach, and their attitude towards the boys, which is why my son immediately registered for the selection to test his abilities. Before the selection, he received some guidance and instructions and trained with them together so that he could showcase himself at all the selection stations.”

June 11^th is the last day of the selection process for the Academy. All of the results will be summed up today.

The Academy of FC ‘Ruh’, which was created and continuously supported by Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, already has its first champions. FC “Ruh” U-19 became champions of Ukraine among youth teams.

Hryhoriy Petrovych Kozlovskyy has been playing football since childhood, he doesn’t just love the sport but lives it. He is well acquainted with it. That is why his sincere desire for development and comprehensive support of the FC “Ruh” trainees looks so natural and harmonious.

The honorary president of FC “Ruh” admitted that he dreams of the victory of “Ruh” players in the Champions League, as well as that in the future the main team of the club will be composed of athletes from the youth Football Academy that he established.

“We do not stop at our achievements. Another generational change awaits us. We will participate in the UEFA Youth League again. There is a challenging path ahead but it’s very gratifying that it’s a championship path”, summarized Kozlovskyy.
