Lviv Regional Hospital of War Veterans and Repressed named after Yuriy Lypa has increased by 10 wards and 10 administrative rooms.

A renovated rehabilitation department was officially opened there. The organizers of this project note that it is important not only to provide medical care to our soldiers and those who suffered from the war, but also to work on their psychological rehabilitation.

Both foreign and Ukrainian maecenas joined the project.

Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy – a well-known businessman and sponsor in Lviv region, honorary president of FC Rukh – together with his family equipped one of the hospital’s wards. Now there is a modern repair, new furniture, air conditioning, air purifier and even a football-themed wall painting.

Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy noted that helping our hospitals and hospitals is one of the priorities.

– When it is necessary to support our defenders, our family does not even think for a moment, and we will continue to do it, because it is a very useful and necessary thing. We deliberately filled this ward with sports themes, in particular, football wall paintings should inspire people to a positive and cheerful mood. In this way, we try to charge our defenders with optimism, – Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy said.

In the near future, we plan to hold a football match for the wounded soldiers. As emotions are also one of the methods of rehabilitation.

In total, the reconstruction lasted six months. The organizers assure that they tried to do everything as quickly as possible. After all, the wounded warriors have no time to wait. Now 50 patients can be treated simultaneously in the rehabilitation department.

– We have fully opened the department for the defenders of Ukraine. These are 10 full-fledged wards and 10 administrative premises with bathrooms, resident rooms, doctors’ rooms and so on, – stated the initiator of the project, head of the International Headquarters to Assist Ukrainians, Hanna Krysiuk.

Krysyuk added that their partners provided funds and organizational support. In addition, donors were from different countries – Poland, Austria and Ukraine.

– This is the second stage of the project, everything was done faster here, because we already had previous experience. A well-known Lviv businessman Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy also joined the project. It so happened that his ward is the most functional, the most filled with inventory – there is air conditioning, air purification, and brand new furniture. We are very grateful to Mr. Kozlovskyy’s family and all the donors we have, – said Hanna Krysiuk.

Director of the Lviv Regional Hospital of War Veterans and Repressed named after Yuriy Lypa Maksym Prykupenko is also convinced that good conditions contribute to faster recovery.

– Almost 700 m² of the rehabilitation department on the basis of our hospital has been restored. Now our patients, defenders who need highly qualified treatment, will be in really good conditions, and this also 100% helps to recover faster. We must do everything to ensure that our defenders recover as soon as possible and return to normal life, – noted Prykupenko.

Now it is planned to open a modern center in Lviv region, where specialists in psychological rehabilitation, plastic surgery and prosthetics will work.

The head of Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyy also noted that their task is to provide quality medical services. He thanked the sponsors, including the football club Rukh, for creating good conditions for the treatment of soldiers returning from the front.
