The pupils of the U-13 football academy Ruh, founded by the well-known philanthropist and entrepreneur Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, took part in the international Number One Cup tournament. In the final of the competition, which took place in Wroclaw, Poland, Ruh U-13 defeated Portuguese FC Sporting.

Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy: “Our U-13 Ruh team demonstrated a top-level performance and won the tournament! “The Ruh team took first place in the group stage, in the 1/4 finals the Yellow and Blacks became the offenders of Porto, in the semifinals they defeated Parma, and in the final they defeated Sporting!”

On the first day of the tournament, the Yellow and Blacks defeated their Czech counterparts from Mlady Boleslav 2-0 thanks to goals by Kochura and Kushnir. Lviv defeated Polish side Lechia with a similar scoreline, with goals by Kochura and Hrytsiuk. The Ruh members defeated Dobre Miasto in Poland with a score of 5-0, with goals scored by Hrytsiuk, Ksiądzik and Gul, while Horin scored two goals.

On the second day of the competition, Ruh U-13 played the final matches of the group stage. But in the end, the Yellow and Blacks brilliantly passed their group, winning 4 matches in 5 matches with a goal difference of 11-2. The team’s top scorers in the group stage were Shain Kochura and Gorin, who scored 3 goals each.

In the quarterfinals, the wards of Ruh U-13 head coach Oleh Legan met Porto. The tense game ended in a 0-0 draw in regulation time. However, in the penalty shootout, Lviv defeated the Portuguese 3-2.

And in the semifinals of the Number One Cup, Ruhiv played against Italian side Parma. As a result, Ruh U-13 defeated their opponents 3-2.

In the final of the Number One Cup, the Academy’s students were more accurate and defeated the Portuguese with a score of 3:2.

The founder of the football academy, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, congratulated the players and coaches on their excellent performance and noted the high level of the Academy’s students.
