FC Ruh, whose honorary president is Lviv businessman and philanthropist Hryhoriy Kozlovsky, defeated Kolos in an away match in the 19th round of the UPL.

FC Ruh head coach Vitaliy Ponomaryov changed the starting lineup compared to the previous match. Roman returned after his suspension and came on as a left back instead of Lyakh, Plüman played on the left in the attack instead of Runic, and Talles took the place of Oleg Fedor.

“Ruh opened the scoring in the 3rd minute of the match. Oleksiy Sych played on the flank with Kvasnytsia, and then sent the ball into the far corner with a well-aimed touch. Sych scored his debut goal in the UPL.

Subsequently, Oleksiy made another dangerous shot, this time from a distance, but the Kolos defender blocked the attempt. Kvasnytsia then headed the ball into the goal, and the goalkeeper saved the shot. Plüman took a shot from a distance but missed the goal.

In the second half, Klymchuk, Pluman, and Prytula scored, but their attempts were not effective.

The founder of the football academy and president of FC Ruh, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, noted the strong performance of the players.

“The guys started the match very quickly and powerfully, and showed a strong and interesting game against the opponent. Vitaliy Ponomarev made a successful change, which paid off – at the beginning of the first match, the guys scored a goal against the opponents. This is an important away victory and a good start to the Ukrainian Premier League. I believe that in the future the guys will score many more goals and win even more confident victories in UPL matches,” said Hryhoriy Kozlovsky.

FC Ruh scored 30 points and remained in sixth place in the tournament, while Kolos was in eighth place with 24 points.

In the next round, Ruh will play away against Dnipro-1. The match at the Dnipro Arena will take place on March 8 at 13:00.
