Ruh’s U-10 and U-11 players took part in the prestigious international Number One Cup tournament held in Gdansk, Poland.

“The Yellow and Blacks played with pupils from well-known European academies and once again proved how powerful the Ruh Academy is. Our guys defeated English teams Everton, Barnsley and Middlesbrough, a number of Polish teams and parted ways with Portuguese Benfica.

In the final, Ruh U-10 defeated Porto 2-1. This is a fantastic triumph of Lviv youth at the European level.

Lviv philanthropist and entrepreneur Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, the founder of the Ruh Football Academy, said: “Our students are our future! And it is at moments like this that you realize that we are moving in the right direction!”

“Ruh U-11 narrowly lost to Portuguese Sporting in the final and took 2nd place in the Number One Cup tournament.

Students of the Ruh Academy received individual awards. Nazar Mershalov was recognized as the best football player of the tournament in the U-10 category. Oleh Zozulya became the best player in the U-11 category.

This is just the beginning of your great journey in football and your main victories are still ahead! Good luck to you and your coaches!” said Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, the founder of FC Ruh.

It is worth noting that this is not the first victory for Ruh in the Number One Cup. Last year, FC Ruh U-13 team demonstrated a high level of play and won the international tournament Number One Cup 2023.

The Ruh Football Academy, which trains young champions, was founded by a well-known Lviv businessman and philanthropist Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy and is currently one of the best in Ukraine. The necessary infrastructure for finding and supporting football players, as well as their further training and comprehensive development, is available 24/7. The infrastructure is constantly being developed and improved, said the honorary president of FC Ruh.
