Lviv businessman and philanthropist, honorary president of the “Rukh” football club Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy financed the arena of the “Rukh” Academy to hold a charity match to raise funds for the needs of the army. During the event, more than 277,000 UAH was collected.

Ukraine’s “ALL STARS” team and national artists met on the football field. The match had the symbolic name “We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine” and was held as part of the “Sport Warms Up” project.

Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, as a co-organiser of the match, noted that this is only the first such event, and there will be more of them in the future.

“We organised a game aimed at raising funds for the purchase of thermal imaging equipment for the 5th Airborne Assault Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Kholodny Yar” and the 125th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Only during the match, thanks to your donations, more than 200,000 UAH were collected, and the donations continued even after the end of the match. Thus, the collection’s total value approached 300,000 UAH”Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy emphasised.

Most often, people sent 200, 500, and 1000 hryvnias. And one of the benefactors – Mykola Tabulovych – made the largest donation: 100,000 UAH. These funds will be used to purchase thermal vests for the Ukrainian military.

Even though some players are participating in such a match for the first time, the game turned out to be exciting and spectacular. The victory was won by the “All stars” team, defeating rival artists with a score of 10:6.
