Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy and FC Ruh, together with the Emily Resort hotel and recreation complex, organized a weekend for displaced children and children of fallen Heroes on St. Nicholas Day.

“Children from the Children of Heroes and I Am Mariupol foundations came to the FC Ruh Academy. They approached us with the initiative to create a holiday atmosphere for the children. We thought about how to do this and decided to spend a one-day weekend at the Ruh Academy and Emily Resort. 35 children visited local attractions and locations and got acquainted with the life of young football players. Also, children from other foundations and organizations were able to watch the play “Vacation under Magical Circumstances” dedicated to St. Nicholas Day,” said Yulia Klymentovych, Marketing Manager of FC Ruh, about the event.

The children and their accompanying persons went on an excursion to the fabulous Winterville winter entertainment town and the Park of Giants, visited Emily Zoo and played interactive games with Ruhman, Ruhman’s mascot.

The children went to the Ruh Academy, where they saw how the young pupils of the Yellow and Blacks live, talked to coaches and players, and also tried local cuisine and learned how the players eat.

“Today it is very important to give children a sense of safety and security. When the world around us is chaotic and unpredictable, holidays give children a sense of stability and support. They show that even in difficult times there is room for joy and fun. I am very happy that we were able to create at least a small miracle for the children of our defenders, children of IDPs and children of other vulnerable categories. And I hope that the trip to our Academy will leave pleasant and warm memories in the hearts of little Ukrainians,” said the philanthropist and founder of the Academy. Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy.

According to Olga Leus, a specialist in support of affected families at the Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation, the weekend was attended by children who lost one or two parents in the war, both military and civilian. The children were able to have fun and get away from everyday problems.

Vasyl Koval, head of the Pidberiztsi community, noted that the children of servicemen who are defending Ukraine, children from among the IDPs, children of fallen defenders and children in difficult life circumstances gathered to attend the holiday. Therefore, it is very important to give them a piece of positive news, and at such events they are distracted from the events taking place in Ukraine.

“I would like to thank FC Ruh, Emily Resort, and Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy for this opportunity and for making the children feel like children,” Koval added.

The children attended the holiday performance “Vacation in Magical Circumstances”. A total of 832 children watched the performance that day, immersed in the holiday atmosphere at the Emily Resort and at the Ruhu Academy.

“It is a tradition for us to organize a holiday for children on St. Nicholas Day. We put on a themed musical. We have 7 performances that have been seen by about 5 thousand children. From the very first days of its operation, Emily Resort has been involved in charity projects: the complex helps the military and organizes various activities for children. This performance was very important for us, because 832 children from boarding schools, special schools, IDPs, and children of defenders were in the audience and could feel the atmosphere of the holiday. We have every opportunity to organize such an event and we are very pleased that the children were happy,” said Denis Rynsky, Marketing Director of Emily Resort hotel and leisure complex.

Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Oleksiy Riznyk said that the Vinnytsia community has been dealing with children’s issues for years. In particular, the number of children deprived of parental care is growing daily. The number of displaced children has also increased. Therefore, Riznyk emphasized that it is extremely important to give children a sense of celebration and make them believe in miracles.
