FC Ruh and Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy helped the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect Lviv region from potential enemy attacks by the Shahedin

The funds donated by the Ruh football club and its founder, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, were used to purchase equipment for new mobile anti-drone teams designed to protect the skies over Lviv region.

The Ruh football club and Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy personally contributed to the formation of the first 30 mobile groups designed to destroy kamikaze drones in the Lviv region. The fully equipped vehicles have already been handed over to the Western Air Command.

“Currently, 30 mobile anti-drone groups have been formed. Many unmanned aerial vehicles are attacking various infrastructure facilities in Lviv region, so it is necessary to prevent this,” said Denys Levkovych, an officer of the West Air Command.

The Ruh football club and Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy allocated UAH 3.7 million for this initiative. It is noted that the groups were formed in accordance with the needs of the military, and then the groups were tested and modified to remain effective in any weather and at night.

“We are very grateful to FC Ruh for their socially responsible position and assistance in creating these groups. The founder of the club, Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, was one of the first to respond to this initiative and donated UAH 3.7 million to purchase vehicles and equip them with the necessary equipment,” said Maksym Kozytsky, head of the Lviv Operational Military Administration.

The organizers of the initiative note that these are only half of the groups to be formed by the Lviv Regional Military Administration, the Western Air Command, and socially responsible businesses. The next 30 groups are planned to be completed and transferred over the next month. The cost of equipping one group is about 500 thousand hryvnias, excluding the cost of the car. Each group includes a vehicle equipped with thermal imagers, night vision devices, laser pointers, light beacons, sights, tablets, and means to shoot down attack drones.

“Our mobile anti-sweeping teams have the most modern equipment. In total, socially responsible businesses donated more than UAH 30 million to this campaign, and the funds continue to come in, as we need to continue forming mobile anti-smoking groups,” said Artem Khmyz, head of the People’s Self-Defense of Lviv Region NGO.

“The enemy’s missile fire has intensified, attacking various infrastructure facilities across the country. To prevent this, our government has enacted a decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the protection of critical infrastructure and energy facilities, which provides for the organization of protection and security of critical infrastructure and energy facilities, as well as an increase in the number and strengthening of the defense capabilities of firing groups from the Armed Forces and the National Guard, which provide air cover and defense of facilities.

Today, Ruh members joined the formation of the first 30 mobile firing groups that will shoot down kamikaze drones in the Lviv region. These are fully equipped vehicles with the most modern equipment: thermal imagers, night vision devices, laser pointers, flashlights, sights, tablets, and weapons to shoot down attack drones.

FC Ruh has always supported our soldiers and will do so again and again to defeat the enemy together,” said Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy.
